From 23 to 27 September 2019, the MASA International Artistic Committee (CAI) held its technical meeting in Abidjan for the 11th MASA, which will take place from 7 to 14 March 2020 in Abidjan on the theme: Africa- World.The CAI examined 780 applications received at the MASA headquarters  via the website,  physically or by the post office.

The applications were, among others, from the following countries: Algeria, Argentina, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Canada, Comoros, Congo Brazzaville, Côte d’Ivoire, United States, France, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Rodrigues Island, Madagascar , Mali, Morocco, Martinique, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Taiwan, Chad, Togo, Tunisia, Zimbabwe …
At the end of its work, the CAI selected the following number of groups:

– 22 in music;
– 12 in theater;
– 11 in dance;
– 11 in slam and scenic reading;
– 10 in stand up comedy
– 8 in circus arts and puppetry;
– 8 in storytelling.

In total, 82 artists or artistic groups from 28 countries were selected for the MASA IN..

The general management of MASA wants to thank the members of the CAI for their professionalism and availability and thank all the candidates as well for their interest in MASA and is grateful for the quality of the artistic proposals.
It offers its warm congratulations to the selected groups and invites them to make the necessary arrangements (visa and health) for their participation at MASA 2020.
